A Public Affairs Analyst, Abiodun Awolaja has commended President Bola Tinubu for his swift action in suspending and probing the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu.
While reacting to the suspension of Edu on Crest Breakfast Show, Eyi-Ara, Awolaja faulted the appointment process of political nominees in Nigeria, saying politicians who spend money to get into office will do everything to recoup the money.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu had directed the suspension of the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, over the N585m scandal in the ministry.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFFC also invited Edu for questioning at their headquarters in Abuja.
Awolaja, who said the back and forth in the Humanitarian ministry says a lot about the insignificance of the humanitarian ministry as well as other ministries, added that their creation is to syphon public funds.
